Learning Objectives and Supporting Activities
The learning objectives below regard one of the three Learning Modules comprised by the program. This module, entitled You & Your Team, is one moth long and is divided in four sections corresponding to the higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Learnersdemonstrate their ability to apply the new knowledge by holding team meetings, they appraise their teams by observing and mentoring them, synthesize their knowledge and observations by creating a team action plan for improvement and evaluateeach other’s work via web conference group debate and online survey feedback. This design allows trainees to gradually move up on the hierarchy of learning, progressing from the lowest stages all the way to the highest evaluation levels. The importance of the taxonomy levels for learning is very important, as simply reading about these skills would not provide the designed effects. Implementing technology based social learning elements allows participants to gain indispensable new media literacy skills relating to performance, multitasking, collective intelligence, judgment, negotiation, networking and visualization. The chosen assessment tools are utilized in close correlation with each learning objective and are considered essential element of the overall course design.
